I took a break from my photography for a while, just wasn't getting inspired and needed some revitalizing. I discovered that I didn't have a style or niche, so I lost the juice. I went back and looked at my work and realized I got the most jazzed by the black and white images I had created, so I've decided will be my focus. I find that black and white images have a greater emotional impact than color; you just bring more of yourself into the interpretation of the image. I always shoot in RAW mode and in color before converting to black and white; there are some images that just don't work in black and white. Shooting in color also gives me greater tonal range in the final image. This summer I will be participating in the Wells Street Art Festival in Chicago again and plan on featuring my black and white images. I have also decided to create some limited edition images, to help keep me motivated and maybe spur some interest in my work. I have included a couple of the limited edition images in this post, hope you enjoy.
